Since 1 January 2015, the use of pesticides has been banned for all public services. Pesticides can only be used under specific conditions, after going through a specific procedure.
Schools, hospitals, nurseries and healthcare institutions have also been subject to this ban on pesticides since 1 January 2015. Since then public services are "a service that is carried out by a legal entity in the public’s general interest”.
This new definition includes an additional guarantee that the most vulnerable, such as children, the sick and elderly do not come into contact with these pesticides.
